Quote of the Day:
Macey- "How will baby JoeJoe get out of Aunt Lisa's tummy?" My reply- "Well...she will go to the hospital and the doctors will help and baby JoeJoe will be born." Macey still not happy with my response- "No mom, HOW will he come out?"
I have gotten asked this 3 times today....how do you explain this to a 2 1/2 year old? Help please :)

Well, our little Mace is inquisitive, and she knows when she's being snowed. How about something like, "Mommies help the doctor by pushing their baby out." That might be enough to satisfy her, and if not, I guess you're going to have to start talking about "a special place" that the baby comes through....yikes!
Macey seems to have the "poop" thing down pat. Would it be totally out of line to tell her that Aunt Lisa "poops" baby Joe Joe out? It's pretty much all in the same area...(Sorry Lisa)
ok,brenda's comment just made me chuckle..good one brenda!
Being that I had c-sections, sami knows that the doctor cut a little hole in my belly and pulled the baby out. She is fine with that. She was just mad we didn't get to pick if it was going to be a boy or girl!
Lets just hope she does not ask again.....GADS....although the "poop" response is pretty good
oh boy...the comments on this post really make me laugh!
Thanks for the great responses, I am waiting for her to ask again....maybe I'll have something ready by then :) I would say Brenda's is the most creative though....BTW her contractions have stopped, but we are in town waiting for things to happen.
My concern as a nurse with telling her Lisa may poop the baby out, is will smart little Macey then think every time she poops , or someone else does, that they are having a baby.
good point Aunt Rachel!
