Gymnastics Recital 2014

This was Kelsey's second year doing gymnastics!  She loves it and I love it because the gym we go to is all about having fun and doesn't run competitions.  She is already signed up for next fall again!

Little Dancers

The girls had their dance recital back on April 26th at Colon Elementary School.   Thanks to Elizabeth for starting up this group in Colon, the girls had a blast.  It more fun to dance down the street at your local library, with all your friends, for a decent price.  Here are some videos of the dances they did at their recital.  Also, the pictures I took and made for the classes...

(not sure everyone can view the last one)

Chicago Trip

So I'm not so good yet at getting my pictures from Instagram to my computer and onto the blog....hence why the pictures are different sizes.

We started the fun in South Bend at the LaQuina Inn and Suites hotel.  A very nice hotel, but the small was way too small and was packed full with a birthday party so we didn't swim too long.  After a little swimming and some Pizza Hut delivered to the room, we went to sleep.  We woke up to several inches of snow and were very glad we headed out the night before so we weren't driving in the snow trying to catch the train.

Once arriving in Chicago, we walked to our hotel (in 10 degree if not colder weather!), Allerton, and were pleased to find out they upgraded our room for free to a suite!  The American Girl store was just around the corner so that was our first stop for shopping.  Macey decided on the girl of the year, Isabelle and Kelsey fell in love with Rebecca.  Taylie picked a stuffed Lambie from Doc McStuffins at Disney Store.  The rest of the day was spent playing in the hotel room with the new dolls, more shopping, and going out to eat.

The next day, we walked to a nearby Coffee Bakery for breakfast and enjoyed the Hershey store.  Then it was about time to head back to the train station to come on home.

Birthday Party Fun!

Macey and Kelsey decided on zebra/cheetah print theme this year for their birthday party.  Thanks to Aunt Brenda again for some fun cupcakes!  I should have cut one in half to show off the fun prints of cake inside.

Their birthday wish list this year:  money to spend at American Girl store in Chicago!

Their Aunt Lisa is so crafty!

Sammies for lunch!

Uncle Dave is serious about his games!

After the party, the girls and I, along with Jason's mom, sister and Merek headed out to South Bend since a snow storm was coming.  Our plan for the next two days...Chicago!

Father-Daughter Dance 2014

Macey and her Daddy went to the Father-Daughter dance at Colon Elementary on Saturday.  This was their second year going....and Macey's last year to have her Daddy to herself  :)  Macey wanted Chinese food buffet, but since the roads were horrible, they barely made it to McDonalds.  She was still quite happy about a Happy Meal.

And because these two little ones weren't old enough to go yet, we borrowed a disco ball and had our own dance party.  Kelsey planned it herself;  signs, snacks (popcorn and gummi bears), drinks (ice water), and she re-arranged furniture for the dance floor.  We were happy to have Eliza join us as well!
