Summer Fun

Last night was Macey's last t-ball game of the season.
She definitely wants to sign up again next year!

She thought it was cool that her dad was the asst. coach.

We checked out Cade Lake last week in the 90 degree weather.  The beach is at a small county campground and we were the only ones there!  The beach was great and the water was warm, BUT after spotting a snake swim by us, I'm not sure I'll get the girls to go back!

Jason and I went to a wedding up in Manistee this past weekend, while the girls stayed back camping with Jason's parents.   We stayed at the Little River Casino and even won $30.  It was a nice little getaway kid-free!

Gotta have s'mores while camping!
(we camped for a day before heading up to the wedding)

We really just love being outside in our backyard lately either running through sprinklers, swimming in the kiddie pool, using the slip 'n slide, or just plain spraying the girls with the hose for fun just to stay cool.

We also received a FREE paddleboat, which has been fun.  We carry it across the street to Palmer Lake to use, the girls love it!

We had an ice cream social at Elizabeth's house with some neighbor friends.

Went to Corinth's VBS carnival while visiting up north.

And had some visitors come play!  This picture was for Grandpa Burgess for Father's Day of all his grandkids by the tire swing he helped put up in our yard.

Kelsey can do it!

Kelsey has been wanting her training wheels off for quite some time.  We decided today would be the day she could try.  She's one determined little girl because she started the day off with NO balance and had tears of frustration, but she wanted to keep trying.  Then as the day went on with lots of practice, she got it!  By dinnertime, she was able to even start by herself.  Way to go Kels, we're so proud you stuck with it!

Lake Michigan

We went up north to start celebrating Father's Day already Thursday evening.  I have many other pictures from the weekend but first had to share these pictures.  Saturday we spent the day at my dad's house in Holland and went out the beach later that night.  Even though we live right across from a lake which we can enjoy, the girls were amazed by the big lake!  I wish I would have taken my better camera along, but these pictures still turned out pretty cool.  My favorite is the first one...

The night before Father's Day...Daddy and his precious girls.

Wrapping up the Preschool Year

A few weeks ago we wrapped up preschool for the school year.  We made Tuesday a fun day as we walked to the new park here in Colon for a picnic and then Thursday we were at my house for an end of the year slideshow, picnic, and playing outside.  It's been a great year and these little ones have come a LONG way!

Taylie the goofball has learned to love tabletime and
tell her friends to "Shhh.." if they're being too loud.  She is a rule follower.

Little Oliver started the year off as a baby is now is Mr. Independent!

Allie was always smiling and got along with everyone.

Grant has grown up so much over the year and has
one of the sweetest hearts around.

Stella is a girl who knows what she wants...she will go far
someday!  She has the cutest little voice when you can get her
to talk to you and can say some funny stuff.

I am so thankful for Annabelle, as she loves Kelsey so much and plays SO well with her.  Kelsey would have been lost without her this past school year.  Our days were always considered fun if Annabelle was involved :)

Kelsey looked forward to preschool all year and can't wait to
begin preschool next year at Colon Elem,  Mon-Thur, half days.  Myself on the otherhand, wouldn't mind her home for a few more years.

Eliza has always been so easy going and has such a fun personality.  The facial expressions this girl can give is great.  But beware, if she's tired, she'll take you on in a wrestling war! :)
