Another year in

Another year of preschool that Elizabeth and I plan is over. We ended the year with face painting, library tote bag craft, cupcakes, fruit smoothies, water balloons, hot dog roast, and playing outside. It's been a fun year!

Bennett and Macey got to join in on today's fun since they are on summer vacation!

These two sure have grown over the course of the school year!

Jason is officially done with school as of today! Baseball is still going on though for a week if not longer, then we will have him home all day long, everyday for awhile :) He's anxious to get working on our yard and going golfing. My MOPS group has ended and about 5 or so us girls are starting a running group. We start tomorrow morning at 7am at the high school track so we'll see how this goes. ( I haven't ran in years )

We hope to get in a few camping trips this summer (Shelbyville, Yogi Bear in Fremont, IN, possibly Grand Haven), and a long weekend up at Silver Lake at Jean's cottage.

The girls will be attending at least one Bible day camp in July and the school is offerring free healthy yummy lunches everyday again so we will be walking to get those quite a bit.

Should be good times :)

Till next school year!

This is the life...

The last two weeks of our preschool have been pretty laid back. Today was at my house and the kids played outside, ran through the sprinkler, played in sandbox, rode bikes, scooters, and had a picnic with popsicles for dessert.

Like their get-up for sprinkler running? :)

When Kelsey is out with me waiting for Macey to get off the bus, she always poses by things and wants me to take her picture. I'm glad my girls ASK for me to take their pictures and don't run! It might not always be like this :)

Taylie hates for me to feed her off a spoon so I let her try herself yesterday. Not much made it to her mouth, but it kept her happy for quite some time!

Mmm...noodles!

Next week is Macey's last week of preschool, and Jason goes one more after that then it's summer vacation! I'm hoping for some good summer weather this year.

good friends

only weeks old...

Think they've changed a bit?

These two are so much fun to watch grow up together....

They may have complete opposite looks and personalities so far, but we're hoping they'll be best of friends someday!

Taylie at 9 Months Old

Jason decided to get out her walker tonight and discovered she really likes it and does quite well!

Taylie went last Thursday for her 9 month check-up and she's a very healthy little girl :) She has jumped from the 75th percentile for height up to over the 90th! But has dropped from 25th percentile to 10th for her weight (16 lbs 1 0z) Dr wasn't concerned since she's so active right now and it's quite common to drop at this age. Taylie still does not enjoy going to the doctors and clung to me the whole and screamed when anyone else got near her. Again, Dr said they look for stranger anxiety at 9 months since it peaks at this age. No shots this visit which was really nice!

Here's what she's up to these days:

Has two botom teeth and top ones should be popping through ANY day now.
Babbles mama, dada, nana, and baba. Some of her babbling sounds like she's trying to saying something, but I have NO clue what it is yet :)
Still LOVES her mommy a lot and hates to be set down if we're at an unfamiliar setting.
Doesn't like sleeping at unfamiliar places.
Goes to bed quite easily at home in her crib...waves goodnight, gets her paci and rabbit blankie in bed and usually doesn't fuss to sleep anymore.
She's getting better at napping...two naps during the day, each around 1-2 hrs.
Nighttime sleeping has been a struggle lately due to teething. She's up usually 2-3 times.
She's good at crawling, pulls herself up and cruises around furniture and tables.
Can stand alone for 10 seconds.
Is my pickiest eater so far. Hates baby food and baby cereal. She'd prefer to feed herself but hates anything with a strong taste. When I say strong taste, that means pretty much anything besides bready type foods. She shivers, gags and throws it on the ground if she doesn't like it. My newest invention is putting a ton of baby food and baby cereals in pancakes so she'll eat SOMETHING. Good thing she loves to nurse still :)
Can drink from a sippy cup. Prefers water since it's bland.
Waves bye bye to familiar people only.
Wears anything from 6 months-12 month size. Size 3 diaper.
I notice her trying to play alongside her sisters more and more, trying to immitate what they're doing.
Enjoys baths with her sisters.
Likes swinging outside.
Still loves to give us the scrunched up smiley face :)
