They did it!

Thanks to Carol, for getting the neighbor's pony Blizzard, we got the girls on a horse! Up until yesterday they have been fascinated with horses, but when asked to feed them or ride them, they want nothing to do with them. Getting a smaller horse was the key and yesterday they both took rides with little hesitation. They were quite proud of themselves. Macey kept saying, "I sure am getting brave aren't I?" Aren't they cute riders? :)

Such concentration.

Quite proud!

She didn't want to let go of Jason's hand, needed a little security I guess :)

Macey's thoughts "Ahh Bennett, not sure you should be doing that, be careful"
Kelsey's thoughts "Wow he's cool!"

Just their size.

summer trips & visitors

Last Thursday we headed out Hidden Ridge in Shelbyville to go camping again with Jason's family. We had perfect weather so we spent a lot of time swimming and riding the golf cart. Can you tell the girls loved it?

Kels had an allergic reaction to a mosquito bite
under her eye. Her eye never swelled all the way
shut but she sure looked miserable for 3 whole days.

After camping we headed up north to Clam Lake for a few days. Again we had great weather besides a quick down pour, so we spent a lot time again swimming in the lake, in dad's boat, at Dockside, and by the campfire.

Gotta love the Dockside!

Some of her favorite people!!!

Wouldn't be a vacation without superman ice cream!

Aren't we cute?

She kinda still fits? :)

We got home around 7pm on Monday night, unpacked, got a good night sleep and got ready for some visitors on Tuesday & Wednesday! My friend Megan and her two kids Braden and Aubrey along with Bren and Sis came for the day and stayed the night. Darrin and Elizabeth also came over for a bit at night so all the kids could play. After the kids went to bed us girls stayed up chatting until after midnight! That's a late night for us :) This morning we made a big breakfast and headed out to the beach, then to Nibbles (restaurant on the lake) for lunch.
All I can say is , "Does summer ever have to end?"

Macey loved painting Aunt Brenda's toenails.
I should have taken a close-up of the finished product.

The girls blowing bubbles with Braden.

she makes me laugh

Today Macey, Jason and I were sitting on the couch watching golf on tv.
I asked Macey, " Do you think your daddy could play golf on tv? "

She answered as if I were dumb, "He couldn't get in there mom....there's no door on the tv!"
