Colon baseball

Jason has been the assistant coach for Colon's baseball team this year. They've had a great year with a 20-5 record and tonight they won their first game in districts 7-3! For me and the girls, baseball games mean: hot dogs for dinner, suckers, dirt, running, me chasing, and more dirt. Gotta love baseball!!!

Silver Lake

After downloading pictures from the weekend I realized I took a lot less than I thought. If you want to see more head to Brenda's blog :) It was a fun weekend of playing in the sand, swinging, walking, gift shops, taking my first ride on a dune buggy!, petting farm, and yummy food!

Just for laughs....
The other day, Macey was playing by herself in the playroom when she started calling, "Mom, I needs some help!" I walked into the room and couldn't find her. She had zipped herself inside the toy bin and couldn't get out :)

Ahhh....

Gotta love days like this.....

Headed off to St. Joe this morning to visit baby Ethan. He's a cutie!
Had lunch outside at a downtown cafe'.
Shopped a little downtown and headed home.

The girls napped the 1 hr 30 min drive back
and were ready to play outside a bit before supper.

Checking out one of her many owies.

Then after dinner, it was time to try out Macey's new bike!
(thanks to Aunt Brenda:) )

Her daddy was so proud of her.

Jason's quote of the day:

"Ahhh.......soon I'll be able to do this whenever I want to....."

Jason and I moved from a house that had absolutely NO trees on our land to a house that has more trees and plants than we know what to do with! We are clueless when it comes to gardening, but we're slowly trying to learn with some neighborly help :) Here are some pictures of the trees that have been in bloom lately. I don't dare post pictures of what the actual yard looks like quite yet :)

Of course I had to add two pictures of the two girls I love so much!

Mace being Mace.

We randomly find Kelsey like this in
various corners of the house.
I guess she thinks everything Macey does is cool?

tulip time, zoo, and snakes.

We've been busy around here with Jason finishing up with school (next week is his last week!), baseball games, garage sales, Tulip Time, Mother's Day, and my birthday. Also, Brenda came to visit on Tuesday and Wednesday so we ventured to Binder Park Zoo and to IKEA. What a fun time!

Animals really like Brenda.

Snacktime!

Taking the tram to Africa.

So my mother in-law is deathly scared of snakes and while I was there she spotted one by the garbage can. She was determined it HAD to be killed and since it was just me and her home with the girls, I decided it would have to be me to kill it. Here's the end result.

Kelsey loves her cousin Merek and bibs.

Tulip time is serious stuff.

Mmmm....good stuff.

visitors & beach

This past weekend, Jason's parents along with Gram, Art, and Grandma Burgess came to visit. We always enjoy having visitors and the girls love all the attention. We had dinner here and were hoping to get some ice cream but everything was closed since it was Sunday.

This morning the girls and I headed to Aldi's and Macey picked out a new dump truck. (she's been eyeing it there for awhile and it was on clearance today) Since it was so nice out we decided we HAD to try it out at the nearby beach. Elizabeth and Denim took their kids as well so we had a picnic and let the kids play before naptime. I can't wait for more nice days like this!

We are getting anxious to head up tomorrow for Tulip Time parades, junk food, and Dutch Dancing. Me and the girls will be staying at Jason's parents' house. Macey can't wait for the parade tomorrow and I couldn't get Kelsey's Dutch costume off her today without her crying so I'm hoping they next few days will be a lot of fun!

How many kids can you fit on a slide

The slide needs a safety gate.

"Yeah, this is fun."

Taking it all in.

Loving her Tulips, she's a true Dutch!

It's always fun to have visitors!

On Wednesday, Brenda, Erin and her two boys came to visit. Erin and the boys stayed overnight and hung out with us all day Thursday as well. Elizabeth came over a few times with Bennett and Annabelle, and two other kids she babysits for. At times we had up to 8 kids in the house under the age of 4. I'll let the pictures tell you what went on :)
