Swimming lessons

This little girl just finished up swimming lessons.  I took her when she was just over a year old to a parent tot class, but this time she was on her own with ages 3-5 with an instructor.  She loved it and did awesome.  With a little more experience this summer, we might have a real swimmer!

Two of the best spectators around...

Kels and her crew.

Tulip Time 2012

We made it up to Holland for Tulip Time this year!  Since Jason had work and baseball, the girls and I left as soon as Mace got home from school on Tuesday.  That night we got to see Sis and Brenda dance around Centennial Park.

We had a chance to see Aunt Carol and Nugget as well :)

After the dancing and chatting with everyone that came to watch,
we hung out at the Herrick Library for awhile.  Wow, that library is amazing!

After a decent night's sleep at Brenda's house, we headed downtown for more dancing.  Kelsey got in on the action this time!

We had some spare time between the dancing and parade, so we stopped to watch a puppet show/concert.  The show was a lot of fun as the kids could participate with the songs.  We even got coupons to get free Cold Stone ice cream and won a free CD :)

Then we searched for some Tulips, but could only find a few wilted purple ones, the rest were long gone.  Taylie was quite disappointed, can you tell?

Kels didn't mind and wanted her picture taken alone with them
since the other girls weren't too thrilled about it all.  This girl truly loves flowers.

Then it was time for some lunch at Sub 'n' More.  Yummy!

And of course, Brenda had saved our usual great spot
earlier that day with blankets and chairs at 6am.

During the parade, we enjoyed some elephant ears, cotton candy, and french fries.  Gotta love that junk food!

Macey enjoyed everything about the parade and wished it was longer.  Kelsey waved the entire time to everything, even things that couldn't wave back.  And Taylie slept through most of it :)

We packed things up and headed back to Colon later that day.  Even hit a great garage sale on the way home, which is always a treat.

I'm hoping to always give the girls a glimpse of Tulip Time each year, since I've grown up with it and love it so much.

Kelsey's Recital

Kelsey had her first ballet recital last Saturday and we couldn't have been more proud.  She has been waiting for this day for a long time could not have smile any bigger up on stage.  Here's a video of her doing the routine during rehearsal since we aren't allowed to video tape during the actual recital.

After the recital we had a cookout here to celebrate
with everyone that came down to watch her.

Meet Pony Poe

We got a call yesterday that a new little pony was born and we got to meet her today!

Isn't she sweet?  She stayed right by her mommy, Maggie's side the entire time.

After watching mommy and baby for awhile we were able to feed another horse named Psychy some carrots right out of our hands.

Mace loved the horses and stepped right up to feed Psychy, while Kels stood back awhile and took some pictures with her camera then decided last minute to feed a carrot.  As for Taylie....well, she'd rather look at horses from the van window I think :)
