30 Weeks

Today I am exactly 30 weeks along in my 3rd pregnancy. Things are going great and I'm getting more and more anxious to meet her. She officially has a name now which makes it all more real and exciting. One Saturday, we took a family vote, including the girls. (it was between two names at the time) and it was unanimous so that's how we decided :) She at least has a name, but other than that we have a lot to do to get prepared still. Kels has been sleeping in her toddler bed in the nursery, but we need to move her upstairs. She will either share a room with Macey or we might switch the preschool/playroom into her own bedroom. Kels wants to share a room with Mace, but Mace is scared Kels will talk too much when it's time to go to sleep so we're not sure what will happen yet. We plan to repaint the nursery and redecorate just a little to make it special. Another big job we have is to buy a new family vehicle. My Honda Accord will not fit 3 carseats and the truck could, but we would be TIGHT. There's more on the to do list, but they are more minor and don't NEED to be done before her arrival. I am set with diapers, new nursing bra, pads, bottles, pacifiers, etc. but nothing is yet organized. Jason's last day of school is June 1st and we will be getting a lot done then. It's hard right now when he's never home to get these things done so we're counting down the days till summer vacation.

I had another ultrasound this past Tuesday (my birthday!) to check for knots in her cord, since Kelsey had one at birth and to check her growth since I was measuring smaller. I was glad to see she measured up just fine at 3 lbs 14 oz and the calculations put my due date at July 18th which is just a few days before my actual date of July 22nd. At the time of the ultrasound she was transverse (side to side) and looking outward with her legs straight above her head. Quite uncomfortable I would think. She was playing shy with her hands by her face most of the time. I am hoping she doesn't continue to stay in this position and will flip head down at some point. I was not informed of any knots at this time, but I will get the official results at my next appointment next Tuesday.

Here's our baby girl looking straight at us.
A bit creepy if I do say so myself :)

Here I am today at 30 weeks exactly.

"Tulip Days"

Tuesday afternoon, the girls and I packed up and headed to Holland. First we stopped in for Kelsey's doctor's appointment. She has had swollen tonsils for two months and has trouble swallowing food, but other than that is not affected by it. We're going to try to give Motrin for twice a day for a week and see if that helps, if not she's being referred to an ear, nose, and throat doctor. We then headed downtown and ate Subs 'n More outside with Brenda and dad. It was so nice out and enjoyed walking around downtown, getting pictures taken by tulips before it was time for Bren and Sis to Dutch Dance. After Dutch Dancing, we people watched as we all split an elephant ear. We spent the night at Brenda's, which is always a treat.

The rain moved out just in time for Wednesday's parade. Brenda set out chairs for us at 6:30am so we had great seats. Both girls really enjoyed the parade, even more than last year. Macey kept calling it "Tulip Days" and was sad to leave Holland after the parade.

Here's a bunch of pictures from our Tulip Days this year. They are backwards in order, but I don't have time to reverse them, I have to get the girls ready for their first real babysitter experience. Jason and I are heading out for Mexican with Mark, Carol, Elizabeth and Darrin! YUM.

ps. The girls wore their wooden shoes from Bumpa for two days straight and still beg to wear them. They probably put in a good 3 miles in them!
