Picture Update!

I finally took Macey's 2 1/2 year old pictures today.
Elizabeth and I took the kids on some nature trails today and got some fun pictures along the way.

Enough Mom!

Kels is on the go! Sometimes she forgets how to crawl and tries to bear walk.
Kels is determined to get to her sister's hairties, but Mace is guarding them with her life!

It's a no go...

Well the people wouldn't budge much on their price so it looks like the blue house is not ours :( We are still considering one that we've liked for awhile that we just keep going back to or there might be a new listing that could be a possibility soon. It's a HUD house and could be quite cheap. But no one can say for sure when it will be on the market. We can't go through it until it's listed so it's hard to say if we'd want it for sure. Our realtor will let us rent one of his houses if we need to bail their for awhile. It's about a 15 minutes drive from Colon, but at least we have a backup if need be.
Today we are making the kids their own Colon t-shirts to wear to sporting events. Hopefully the rain will stop for the home football game tonight.
That's it for now, wish I could have said we had a house, but there's another one out there for us. Oh, I hope we find it soon though!

Making an Offer....

"I know I look cute in these leggings, it shows off my chunky legs" :)

So many are asking, "What's going on with the house hunt?" I am excited to say that last night we put in an offer on the grey/bluish house and they are considering. We're expecting a counter offer, but are thrilled that they are even considering. Hopefully we will know soon and if it doesn't work out then we can offer on something else, but it's TIME to buy! The cottage has no heat and we need a place to go. Jason has been super busy with schoolwork lately, but that was to be expected. He just has a lot of extra stuff to work on these first few weeks, so as the weeks go on, things should smooth out. Next Monday, he already has no kids as it's Fair Day. I guess that since so many kids are involved in 4H that everyone gets the day off :) I will for sure update when we hear about the house, but until then here's some more pictures!
Already making a mess! (for some reason it wouldn't flip the right way, sorry)Trying to be on the move, but keeps getting into sitting position instead :)

Mace enjoying her "nack".

First Day of School

Yesterday day was Jason's first day of teaching at Colon Community Schools. As he put it, "It didn't go so bad." Besides his room feeling like 115 degrees, the day went smoothly. He got everything done he planned and got to know the students a bit. He mentioned how he is glad he did concrete for as long as he did, he worked with several guys that did 4H, hunted, and did other things he wasn't too familiar with. Many of his students are involved in these activities so he feels as if he can relate to them better. He spent most of last night lesson planning for today. He has to plan for 3 different math subjects. ( I enjoy helping him do this, as I'm not sure how much help I actually am, at least I feel like I'm helping :) ) I am anxious to hear how teaching went today.

I am using this blog as means of communication lately, as we don't have great cell phone service at the cottage and our minutes are running low. I have been getting emails and messages of people wondering how things have been going so I will do my best to keep everyone informed through the blog since it's the easiest thing for me right now.

Just hanging out.

Kelsey enjoys this just as much as Macey does :) It works well!

6 Months Old

Kelsey turned 6 months old yesterday. I forgot how much fun they are at this age, as she's learning to do new things from day to day. She *thinks* she's older than she is as she intently watches every move her sister does and reaches to get down to chase after her. She is not on the move as of yet, but she can easily get into the all fours position and rocks until she takes one step with either leg or arm and then face plants. I give her maybe 2 weeks before she's on the move since she's been at the rocking stage for about 2-3 weeks now. As of the last two days, she's decided that she can sit up on her own which is so nice, as she's much happier upright looking around. She has a GREAT interest in food as you can see from her shape :) She reaches at any food we eat and brings it right to her mouth if she gets ahold of it. I've only tried cereal and vegetables so far, of which she enjoys. Lately, we've been getting more and more comments of how she resembles her daddy, especially her eyes. Her eyes are still blue with her hair getting lighter each day with a hint of strawberry in it. It's amazing how they change and how fast they grow in these first 6 months of life. We love you Kelseroo!!!!!
