Bits and Pieces

Kelsey went to school with a "five" shirt on to celebrate her birthday.

She picked fudge striped cookies to share for a treat.

While she was at school, I set up the big tent in the family room as a surprise.

I had preschool here today and the theme was fish.

Instead of having cake or cookies to celebrate her birthday at "our" preschool, we turned the family room into a movie theater and the kids ate popcorn in the tent during the movie.

Kelsey enjoyed all her gifts from her friends.  (tradition is that each kid wraps up something in their house they no longer need to give to the birthday kid)

One special gift she got was an Annie coffee mug.  She asked for some coffee for it and I let her.

Once Mace was home from school, we went to the library's Cupcake Party.  A local baker set up many varieties of cupcakes for the kids to decorate and eat.

Of course we had to pick out more books when we were done eating.

I made my first ever chicken pot pie for dinner along with some crockpot applesauce.

I went to Walmart to get the last of the party supplies and food for Macey and Kelsey's American Girl themed Tea Party on Saturday.

I was bummed they were out of raspberry sherbet for our punch.  Now I need to make another outing tomorrow, arg.

I need to go now hang some streamers in the stairwell for a sweet little girl that turns FIVE tomorrow!
