Frozen coffee drink anyone?!

My three little loves :)

Hanging out in the backyard.

Goofball.

Kelsey giving her imaginary friend "Cody" a push on the tire swing. He has really been liking the tire swing lately. A new imaginary girlfriend named "Mally" has been showing up around here too lately. I don't know much about her yet, but she did go with us to the park the other day.

Macey and Kelsey got the virus that has been going around so one morning before they woke up, Taylie and I made them get well cards. You can see Taylie's very first artwork on them!
That night Taylie came down with the bug :( But besides a high fever, it was a very quick sickness and we're good to go now.

Taylie loves ice cream cones.

Macey and Kelsey love ice cream cones as well, but what they REALLY get excited about is sharing one of my iced coffee drinks with me. For you coffee lovers out there, you need to try this recipe. It makes a big batch so I put it in individual sized containers in the freezer so when I know I will want one, I can just pull one out of the freezer about 1-2 hrs before I'm ready for it. It ends up being kinda slushy to eat like a Frappe from McDonalds. It's so refreshing and yummy!

Frozen Coffee Drink

1 pint (16 oz) heavy whipping cream
1 pint half and half
1 pint milk
2-3 tsp vanilla
2 C sugar
3 C strong brewed coffee

First dissolve the sugar in the coffee then mix the rest together.
Pour into any container to freeze.

I've heard you can add a lot less sugar or switch things up a bit if you want it healthier for you.

Hi Jen - Just got back from a week at Clam Lake - more on my blog this weekend - but had to comment on your latest posts - those little sweet girls of yours are so yummy I could eat them up! Adorable, as usual. Thanks for the iced coffee recipe - looks and sounds delish, and I'll be trying it soon....
