-Loves everything about preschool. She loves her teachers and friends. I don't hear much of what she's learning, but I get a lot of details about what kids wear, what they say, who gets in trouble, what kids pack in their lunches, and who she played with.
-Is in absolute love with her baby sister. She will make comments to me like, "Oh mom, she's so cute I just want to bite her." I tell her, "I know exactly how you feel."
-Doesn't like independent play too much besides doing "homework." (she likes to pretend she has homework and sits at the table to look "busy") and playing with polly pockets. She prefers to have someone playing with her at most times.
-Sleeps from 7pm-7am (going to bed is never a battle) Will still nap around 2 hrs on weekends if I make her lay down.
-Very helpful around the house.
-The last two nights, hasn't sucked her thumb to fall asleep. I thought this would be more difficult than it has been so far. I bought some cheap books from Goodwill and wrapped them up. In the morning, if she didn't suck her thumb, she can pick one out. This is enough motivation for her since she loves books. We're still allowing blankie in bed though :)
-Tacos are her favorite food
-Very particular about her clothes when it comes to matching, how things fit (hates things short), if it's girly enough, and lately has been liking clothes with a "check" on them. (Nike brand) because that's what dad wears :)
-Likes to have things "her" way.
-Has a mind that is always working. This morning she woke up and first thing out of her mouth was, "How can God see us in our house when he's up in Heaven?" Tonight she asked, "Is funner a word?" I told her that it's not a word and that we should say "more fun" instead. But then I was questioned forever about WHY it's not a word. Her questions are never ending.
-Is quite responsible and reliable for her age.
-Has great concern for others.
Since she got a caboodles for her birthday, she wanted to give her jewelry box to a little girl that doesn't have one. The other day she saw a girl walking by herself out to the playground and said, "Oh that's sad....she doesn't have a friend to walk with."
I'm curious as to what age FIVE will bring in the next year :)
Happy Birthday my big girl! I love you so much!

Your precious 5 year old is thoughtful, compassionate, loving and so much more! I had to chuckle about all of her "why?" comments and her inquisitive nature. Reminds me of my Rachel - she would always say (& sometimes still does!) "I have a question...." and it would go from there..but curiosity is a wonderful thing! Loved the party and seeing all of you this past weekend - thanks again for inviting us!
