We've entered the six month world!

This precious girl has recently turned 6 months old.
I wasn't sure I ever wanted her to turn six months. I was kind of dreading the day even though I know how exciting of an age it is. I just knew it would mean my "little" baby would turn into a "big kid" baby. Six months means, she's now closer to being one than a newborn and will be learning things now at such a fast rate. I can no longer lay her on a blanket and walk out of the room and expect a few minutes later for her to be in the same spot. She can't only nurse from me, but needs more food. Going shopping doesn't require Baby Bjorn anymore and a cart where she can sit could be more appropriate. (I will still carry her though :) ) I have to start thinking about HER grocery list nowdays which involve the fun stage of Puffs, various baby foods, and cute sippy cups. When she's fussy I have to start looking for new teeth popping through. Six months is a whole new level of babyhood....but I do love it :)

Taylie's excited about this age and the world of sitting up. She has never liked tummy time and still doesn't. She can roll quite well, but doesn't use it to get her places. She definitely prefers sitting.

She isn't so sure about eating solid foods yet. It took her awhile to catch on, and once she caught on she has been constipated since. Her little body can't handle too much we've realized, even with much added prunes and even some juice. We will ease back into things now that she's finally relieved herself. It took tears and throwing up before she became unplugged. Poor thing. But so far carrots, peas, and applesauce are her favorites.

Can you tell she's excited to tell you how big she's grown? Here's how she weighed in today.
Weight: 14 lbs 14.5 oz (25th %)
Height: 26.5" (75th %)
Other bits of info on our six month old:
Bedtime: 7pm
Awake around 7am
Wakes up a LOT though...we use a musical toy in her crib to put her back to sleep most of the time during the night as I'm trying to wean her off from nursing back to sleep. I do end up nursing one or two times still.
Her personality so far is quite serious.
Hardly ever smiles for strangers.
Very nosey.
Hates when mom walks out of the room.
Falls asleep really well on her own for naps and bedtime in her crib.
Prefers her tummy for sleeping.
Enjoys car rides.
Loves PraiseBaby.
Sitting on mom's lap, sitting on floor with mom nearby, or jumperoo are her favorite places to bed.
Still no teeth or signs of teeth.
Still drools a lot.
Nicknames:
Daddy calls her: Boo-bits, Bay-bits, Pretty Pretty Princess
Kelsey calls her: Taylie Mae, Bay-bits or Tia Tia
Macey calls her: Taylie or Tia Tia
Mommy calls her: Taylie or Taylie Mae
