pigtails, power outage & playgroup

We went last Saturday to Decatur to cheer on the Magi at baseball regionals. It was a beautiful day and they had many fans including Jason's whole family coming down, but they couldn't quite pull off a win, they lost 5-6. They had a great season and Jason had a lot of fun helping out.

Now his days are completely free until later this month when he starts taking an online grad class through Western. He's been busy working in the yard, tearing out a lot of trees, bushes, etc. along with building the girls a sandbox! I'm very excited about this even if it means a lot of sand in the house. He's on his way to go get the second load of sand right now to finish it off. Pictures to follow.

I have realized that Kelsey's hair is getting long enough to put up in pigtails. Not sure if it's her look yet or not but it's fun to try new things since it's getting longer. What do you think?

Macey has a few favorite clothes, and when I'm not looking she goes and changes into these clothes. One outfit is this nice Minnie Mouse pajama top :) She loves her leggings and she was so proud to discover that her black ones match quite nicely. Her other favorite outfit is her Dora bathing suit. She had it on 2 or 3 times throughout the day yesterday. (remember it was rainy and cold yesterday)

Somehow our kitchen/dining room is the running track in our house. The girls LOVE to run and run and run. They laugh so hard at each other as they pass by. It's quite entertaining and it wears them out.

This past week we lost power due to storms. It went out around 8:30pm and we didn't get it back until 1pm the next day. Jason and Darrin had gone golfing all morning so the girls and I had to find stuff to do without power. It was a day of pb&j sandwiches, lots of coloring, books, playdoh, and cleaning.

Elizabeth is in charge of planning the summer playgroups here in Colon. I helped her Thursday morning set up in the elementary gym. (it was suppose to be outside but due to rain she planned for inside stuff) We were sad to see that we were the only ones to show up :(

The kids still had fun though!

I just LOVE when you update so I can see pictures of my most favorite, most beautiful grand nieces in the entire world. Kelsey looks dynamite in whatever she wears or how her hair is fixed. Macey is getting so tall....love the news about the sandbox and Macey's favorite clothes....is that funny or what

Kelsey looks darling no matter what her hair looks like. I do like the pigtails. I can just see them running in the house. Which reminds me, I have not seen your house yet. Jim and I will have to come visit soon. Jason can put Jim to work, and we could take the girls out.

For some reason when I see the picture of Macey in her Minnie shirt I imagine that she is a gymnast and running up to do a dismount off the vault. I think she's make a great one (gymnast).

The girls are growing up SO fast, and Kels with her pigtails looks so grown up! They have so much fun together - it's wonderful to see all the joy and laughter!
