First Day of School

Yesterday day was Jason's first day of teaching at Colon Community Schools. As he put it, "It didn't go so bad." Besides his room feeling like 115 degrees, the day went smoothly. He got everything done he planned and got to know the students a bit. He mentioned how he is glad he did concrete for as long as he did, he worked with several guys that did 4H, hunted, and did other things he wasn't too familiar with. Many of his students are involved in these activities so he feels as if he can relate to them better. He spent most of last night lesson planning for today. He has to plan for 3 different math subjects. ( I enjoy helping him do this, as I'm not sure how much help I actually am, at least I feel like I'm helping :) ) I am anxious to hear how teaching went today.

I am using this blog as means of communication lately, as we don't have great cell phone service at the cottage and our minutes are running low. I have been getting emails and messages of people wondering how things have been going so I will do my best to keep everyone informed through the blog since it's the easiest thing for me right now.

Just hanging out.

Kelsey enjoys this just as much as Macey does :) It works well!

Jen - Bless your heart for keeping us informed - sounds like Jason's first day was a "home run" - his students are going to love him! Just when I think the pictures of the girls can't get any cuter, you post some new ones that are even more precious! Just love the one with Macey & Kels at feeding time - what a good helper Macey is - please give her a big kiss from aunt Jean!

Way to go Jason, glad it went so well. You are right, it helps to have something to talk about and to relate with teenagers. Great pictures of the girls, and Kelsey is getting so big. Both girls always have such a big smile.

LOVE the picture of Mace feeding Kelsey. They both seem so happy and proud in that picture. Our internet is still down so I am checking this at work. Hopefully we will be back up and running soon!
