Our Sunday

Today was a typical Sunday of going to church, Macey going to nursery, getting cookies afterwards and chatting before heading home for the day. Since I didn't have too many options in the house for a Sunday dinner we decided to make tacos and rice for lunch. Mace went down for her nap and Jason and I took a catnap in the living room watching TV. I had Kels on my chest napping as well. The nap wasn't quite as long as we were hoping for as Mace woke up jabbering away, talking about how hot she was and that she had to take off her sweatshirt. More or less, she wanted it off so she could see her strawberry tank top underneath that she was so determined to wear. The rest of the day wasn't quite as peaceful. Both girls were a bit off, which it always seems to be when you're all home for most of the day. Somehow they're both better on the go. Macey wanted to dump out all of her beads after just being told not to, Kels wanted to throw up most of her bottles, but still was certain that she was hungrier than hungry. Needless to say, Macey visited the naughty spot a few too many times and Kelsey was held most of the day. Good thing we were both home today! It's easier to smile about these things when you're not alone. And after all the craziness and chaos somehow we find time to laugh. Kelsey did her first true laugh today for Jason and was still full of smiles. Mace wanted to clear the table like she usually does after dinner but tonight she also wanted to load the dishwasher with the dirty dishes so we let her. To our surprise she loaded it all correctly. Of course the Tigers were on the television, and Macey wanted her glove on. She got it on and put the ball in her glove and got ready to throw, lifting her leg WAY up in the air then threw it. She ran to the tv and said, "Macey lift leg just like boys on tv do!" (she was pointing to the pitcher) She may be trying at times, but for the most part she's been so full of it and comes up with the goofiest things to say or do.
Tonight we're going to try Kelsey in her crib, which is in Macey's room. It's time, she's been sleeping through the night for a number of weeks and wakes up now at 7am. I am nervous since she hates laying on her back and is used to sleeping in the bouncy seat in the living room. I will let you know how this goes......

You have a future softball player in the making. I'll probably call you today to find out how Kelsey did in her crib (or maybe how you did without her nearby :)!
