Back to School!

We are adjusting to the new school year.  Here's what's been going on....

Jason and Macey started last Tuesday.

Macey is in 1st grade this year with Mrs. Martel and just
loves everything about her and school in general.

Jason is now also teaching Calculus and 9th grade PE along with his usual Algebra, Adv. Algebra, and Pre-Calc classes.  He also no longer has a planning period and is now teaching all day long, which makes for a stressful schedule for him.  So far so good, but he's very busy.
Kelsey starts Preschool at Colon Elem, next Tuesday.  She will get picked up at 7:15 in the morning with Mace and will come home around 11:30, Mon-Thur.  She is quite excited and already knows quite a few kids in her class.

Taylie was wishing she could start school too, so we turned her crib into a toddler bed to make her feel a little bigger as well :)  She loves it and runs to bed for naps and bedtime.
My days are starting to fill up with babysitting,
playgroups, storytimes, home preschool, taking pictures, and possibly volunteering at school.

On their first day back to school.

Taylie sure misses her other mommy while she's at school.

Proud to have her own desk this year!

Sweet Mrs. Martel with Macey.

New lockers this year!

Excited to find her as well!

Good friend Stella will ride her bus and be in her class this year.

Kelsey started gymnastics this past Monday and loves it.

Yes, she has a few favorite blankets :)

Hidden Ridge

We've been camping at Hidden Ridge, in Shelbyville, a lot in the past month since Jason's parents got a great deal on having their trailer there for a whole month.  I think we've spent about 20 days there total :)

One Satruday, we had a girls day (kid-free) at the campground.  We started the day with Zumba, frozen coffee drinks, hanging by the pool and eating good food.  It sure was fun and relaxing!  (Elizabeth, Lisa, and Meghan also came but left before we decided to take a picture)

If we weren't in the pool, the girls were on their bikes usually.

Jason and Mace were usually the champs at bags.

During our girls day, she talked Grammy into taking her to the
library to get new books to read while camping.

Firetrucks came to visit and taught the girls about fire safety.

Inside the truck!

They had a carnival where the girls got their faces painted.  (Mace is a dancer, Kels is Rainbow Brite, and Taylie is a butterfly)

Both Macey and Kelsey can now swim in the deep end without any flotation and Taylie started the summer not to sure about the water and has learned to love it.  She just needs a set of swimmies and off she goes.

Taylie's 2nd Bday party

This sweet little girl recently turned TWO!  We decided to have her Hawaiian birthday party out at the campground this year.  The party involved decorating flip flops and water bottles, eating subs, presents, swimming, belly flops, and cake and ice cream.

I think she had a good time! :)
