It's a great day to buy a house!

In less than two hours we will be closing finally on our house down here in Colon. We will be so glad to be done moving from place to place, and finally have a place to call home again. The next few weeks will mean a lot of cleaning, tearing down wallpaper, and painting. We're not sure how much updating we're going to do at first. It's very livable as is, but we're anxious to make it ours. One of the first goals is to make it child proof as I have found that living in a nonchild proof rental is quite difficult. Everytime I sit, I have to get up to grab Kelsey from pulling over the garbage, putting her fingers in electrical outlets, trying to climb stairs, finding a cable cord to pull out or just finding a place to hide in the crazy layout of the house we're in. Elizabeth is kind enough to watch our girls today as we close today. Macey says, "Bennett will babysit me while Mom and Dad go to the bank to buy a new house." I will post pictures soon of our new home. Until then, here's some others.

Happy Birthday Aunt Carol!

"Happy Birthday Aunt Carol! I made this picture of you for your birthday. My mom sent it in the mail yesterday so you'll get it soon."

Love, Macey

It's time for an update

I know I haven't written in forever and a lot has been going on. I will try to sum things up as quick as I can. We have FINALLY bought a house! We are thrilled that it is the house we were hoping to get and we ended up getting a great deal! It's the blue/greyish house on Elm St. right down the street and around the corner from Darrin and Elizabeth. It's across the street from Palmer Lake and in a good neighborhood. It is definitely outdated but it's very livable how it is and we are excited to make it ours. Closing will happen the week of Oct. 26. (still waiting on the actual date) We are currently living in a rental in Bronson, 15 minutes south of Colon.
Jason is busy at school, but finding a LITTLE more time to relax some nights :) He will take on the head JV boys basketball coaching position later in November, so until then we will appreciate the nights he's home with us.
The girls are finally sick free! We went through a long stretch of croup and fevers with teething. Kelsey now has two bottom teeth and Macey has two of her two year old molars. Kelsey is just over 7 months old and is on the go getting into most everything. Her favorite things are finding a pile of shoes, climbing on her carrier, trying to go up the stairs, and finding the bathtub toys in the bathroom. She's a great eater and has quite the temper. She will make fists with both hands and let out a quick loud scream to let us know when she's mad. Macey has been enjoying emptying out hers and Kelsey's dressers. Telling me how much each outfit cost, where she wore it, and if it fits or not. This keeps her busy for quite some time and she actually enjoys "trying" to fold the clothes and putting them away (most of the time). She is still obsessed with Dora everything and enjoys "nacks" all day long if possible. Lately she has taken on being a little mommy and yelling at Kels is she finds her getting into something she shouldn't be. Here are some pictures from when we were up at Herring Lake for Grandpa's 90th birthday along with some other random ones.

You can barely see my bottom two teeth!

This sand is fun!
