Thanks to Elizabeth, who organized a local dance group here in Colon, the girls have been practicing since October for their first performance. They danced on stage at the Elementary School, during Christmas in Colon. They did a great job and loved being on stage! Look at those smiles :)

Thanksgiving 2013
We celebrated Thanksgiving in Dorr, with Jason's family this year. We had omelettes in a bag and Yoder's doughnuts for breakfast. While we waited to get hungry for the main meal, we worked on our craft, decorating wood blocks. The girls picked their word to spell, choose their paper, cut, glued and decorated their own. I made one that says, "faith". Then after a huge Thanksgiving meal, we sat around looking at ads, watching football, and hanging out until it was time to head out shopping. After putting the girls to bed, we met up with Brenda at Target to get in line at 7:45pm. We then shopped all night long, until 9am. Great fun like always....got deals, hardly stood in line, and got what we went for. Let's just say though, I was ready for my bed when we got home that night!
Craft time!
This poor girl wasn't feeling to hot on Thanksgiving
....fever, cough, and got sick to her stomach :(
Can you guess who picked Peace?
Enjoying hot cocoa, after I made them go outside for pictures...

Halloween 2013
We started our Halloween fun last Saturday with the Elementary Monster Mash. We were excited to have Macey's friend Sophia with us for the day.
Dancing, cookies & punch, popcorn, pictures, and games.
On Sunday, we carved our pumpkins and roasted pumpkin seeds.
This girl spent much time working on hers.
Taylie, Macey, and Kelsey's pumpkins. They drew the faces this year and did a lot themselves. Kelsey likes to name everything so first her pumpkin was named Cheddar, then Macey, then Hot Dog, and finally ended with Plum.
On Halloween I have some friends and kids come over for a Halloween party. We read Spookely the Square Pumpkin, played Halloween BINGO, made a ghost craft, turned Mommy's into Mummies, and ate doughnut holes and drank apple cider.
After school we had some friends over for an early dinner while we got ready for trick or treating. We headed out at 4pm and walked through town stopping at local businesses, a church, and many houses. After almost 2 hours of being out and getting wet, we came home and headed to the Elementary School to see friends at the costume contest.
They made out pretty well :)
