Taylie at 15 months

Taylie just turned 15 months and here's what she's up to these days....

Still nursing 2-3 times a day

Wears size 3 diapers

Can fit in anything size 6 mo-18 month

If we're home she takes 2 naps a day still

Favorite foods: mac and cheese, cheese of any kind,
yogurt, oatmeal with toast, pizza, and raisin toast.

Can say: Dada, Dodo (Dora), bye bye, ha (hi), pee (please), doNe, pumpum (pumpkin) and Doh (dog)

Loves books read to her, especially Look and Find books.

Favorite "toys" are markers, Lite Brite, card games, and puzzles.

Is obsessed with Barney.

She loves routines. For example, when I say it's time to get Macey off the bus she runs to the door, gets her shoes, wants to get the mail and looks for the bus. When Mace gets off, she runs to take her shoes off into the house, shuts the door and runs to the pantry door for snack and throws it onto her highchair. Same thing with bedtime routine, she RUNS to do the next thing in order.

Still only has 4 teeth.

She's had an ear infection now for a few weeks and we go back tomorrow for another recheck. Since she was up again 3 times last night, I have a feeling something still might be going on in there :(

We go next week for her 15 month appointment, but since we've been at the Dr alot lately, I know she's around 18 lbs which is below the chart so we're constantly trying to get this girl to eat and drink more.

She is definitely an opinionated little girl and knows what she wants. She even threw a few tantrums the other day, which we have not yet experienced much in this house, so we could be in for it with her :)

Just a little update

So we're now back into the school schedule here and things are going well. Mace loves school and jumps out of bed ready to go each morning. I still get a lot of info about her day and I love to see her excitement about learning.

This is Jason's fourth year of teaching and he's teaching the same subjects as last year, which is nice. (College Algebra (pre-calc), Adv. Algebra, and Algebra) It's great having him come right home after school to see us. He will be coaching basketball again come Novemeber and baseball again in the spring.

Kelsey loves preschool days (Tue and Thur) at mine and Elizabeth's houses. She wants to play with her friends everyday, so we usually make a point to hang out with some friends everyday if possible. We've been going to Storytime on Fridays, and Playgroup started back up this week as well so it's nice to have something almost everyday of the week.

Taylie joins in on preschool as well and loves watching the big kids. She's been running a fever on and off since Wednesday and we're thinking she's working on some new teeth since she has no other symptoms and no one else is catching it. I've been on the couch with her a lot at night so I'm hoping these pop through soon plus she's due for some new teeth! She currently has two on top and two on bottom.

There was a fog delay this past Tuesday and you could see webs all over the place. It was quite cool to see.

Here's our preschool group eating lunch at my house.

Taylie is trying to master the fork.

Her sisters love to cheer her on.

Look at the concentration...

She's got it!

Yes, we're proud of you big girl :)

Back to School!

Macey started kindergarten on Tuesday! She has Mrs. Bower as her teacher and is excited to have some of her close friends in her class. On Monday night, she helped lay out her clothes, pack her lunch, get her backpack ready, etc. Then we read the story, "The Night before Kindergarten" before bedtime. She woke up a bit nervous and her belly hurt so she didn't eat much for breakfast, but she was still excited. Jason stayed home long to see her get on the bus so our whole family was out there when the bus came at 7:15. She hoped right on and took off. I of course lost it as she rode away :( It's just so weird for me to have someone else taking care of her all day and I have no clue what she's doing.

So far, we get quite a bit of information from her as she gets home from school, which is very fun to hear. I hear about which kids are naughty, what she's learned, if she had a special that day, what types of worksheets she did, who she played with at recess, and who she sat with on the bus. She gets home at 3:40 and goes to bed at 6:30 so I feel like I never see her. I'm trying to get in a little extra special time with my two still at home because I now realize how fast they grow up and are gone :(

Life is definitely different here at home since Jason and Mace have gone back. I try to keep the other two busy with fun activities at home and we start preschool next week twice a week. Storytime at the library starts back up tomorrow and soon playgroups will also begin. I'm lucky to have close friends that are stay at home moms as well that are only houses away so we usually plan "something" everyday or so. Today Savannah invited us to her dad's work for the kids to sit on and try out big tractors, trucks, back hoes?, etc. Then a trip to McDonalds for lunch made a fun day :)
