Sharp's Farm

A few weeks ago, the kids had fun at Sharp's farm finding Easter eggs, feeding lambs, and seeing a baby calf. Each time we go, the girls get more and more brave and it's so fun to see! Thanks to Elizabeth for these pictures :)

Spring Break

I hit the jackpot today at the Amish store so of course I had to put up a picture :) I LOVE when they have diapers and stock up on any size if it's a kind I will use someday. I got everything in the top picture for $50! The smaller packs of diapers were $2.99-$3.99 each and the boxes were $9.99 each. A few other good buys were Jif peanut butter $1.29, Mrs. Butterworth syrup .79 cents, and Biolage conditioner $1.50. It's definitely a hit or miss when you go to the Amish store, but since it's only 5 minutes away, it's always worth a trip to check it out! This trip just made my day :)

We've enjoyed Jason being home all week. Since it got so cold and rainy Tue-Fri, he didn't even have baseball practice on those days so we had the whole day to hang out. When it was nice out, we were outside playing, going for bike rides, doing yard work, or cleaning out vehicles.

Can you see those shorter bangs??? :)

The girl loves overalls and rainboots if she's not in a dress.
(overalls $2.99 Goodwill, rainboots FREE, hand me down from neighbor)
Can you tell I'm Dutch?

We made it to Chuck E Cheese and the girls loved it.
We were there just over two hours
and they zonked out on the drive home.

Kelsey has transitioned well to her toddler bed. We're on night 5 with her sleeping in it and she's done really well. The first nap in it, she got up to get some books, but after going in once to tell her she can't get out, she hasn't gotten out since. I feel like she falls asleep even faster now than when it was a crib. In a few months, we'll move her upstairs to her own room or in with Macey (haven't decided yet) and she'll be in a twin bed. Her toddler bed is her crib and we need the crib for the new baby.

I've done a few little crafts this week so I thought I'd take pictures of the finished products. Here are two necklaces I made. Real simple and cheap beads on stretchy string. I'm hoping they might add a little something to my blah outfits this summer.

I also made these shirts for the girls for Tulip Time. Since they have outgrown the costumes I have, I felt that they needed some type of Tulip Time gear to wear. I might stitch some stems and leaves on them still, but this is what I have so far. They should be set for the parades now with the new painted wooden shoes from Bumpa and their tulip shirts. We can't wait for May!

Springtime!

So the weather overall lately has
been great and we have been outside :)

My lil' gardener.

I think we need a big kid swing, she's huge in this!
She's discovered how to "pump" so she
doesn't need us to push anymore. How nice!

Last Wednesday, we visited Bennett's preschool to
feed and pet some lambs (thanks to Carol!)

A morning tea party as the sun shines in the front window.

Friday we headed into Holland to stay at Brenda and Keith's house for Easter weekend. We had lunch at Russ', ran to Target, and had people over for pizza to watch the Michigan State game. Easter morning we got up early to eat breakfast at church before the service and then had a delicious meal at Aunt Rachel and Uncle Jim's. Later in the day, the girls had a hunt in the backyard and found some fancy wooden shoes that Bumpa made for them. Mace was thrilled!
Here they are, back home after all the Easter
fun, proudly wearing their wooden shoes.
Jason is currently on Spring Break and we have no big plans besides lots yard work, Chuck E Cheese, transitioning Kels to a big girl bed, possibly the movie theatre, and just relaxing!
